Bride Caroline is no stranger to this landscape in Dunmore East, a coastal village in the south of Ireland. It’s where she grew up, which is why photographers Rachel and Karina of Weddings by KARA wanted to incorporate it into her wedding portraits. “We fell in love with the almost prehistoric trees and skyline,” Rachel says.

But they’re not the only ones to recognize the beauty of this location. On the day of the shoot, the spot was filled with tourists popping in and out of the frame. “It took a little bit of crowd management to ensure we could achieve the crisp, clear lines in the background,” Rachel says. And it was all worthwhile. “We absolutely love the rugged tree trunk, which stands almost like a sculpture in the foreground. It creates a real juxtaposition to the serene sea and skyscape.”
