After shooting some family formals, Greta Tucker and her associate photographer, Stasia Fox, brought these two to Portland, Maine’s City Hall for some portraits of just the two of them. “This is one of my favorite places in downtown Portland,” Tucker says. “It seems to have the best lighting at any time of the day.”

While Tucker was directing the couple and taking some of the more posed portraits, she asked Fox to get some candid, “more organic” photos of the session. “Well, all I can say is, she achieved just that,” says Tucker, referring to the photo here. “Editing this photo in black and white and then adding that bit of grain made it look like a scene from a movie, which both the couple and I love so much!”
