Mourning Two Members of our Photo Community

In less than a month’s time, our industry has suffered two tragic losses—wedding photographers Daniel Mast and Eric Langlois. Both of them left behind families, both with two kids, and both expecting their third. We are heartbroken.

Despite such tragic losses I am so very proud of the industry for banding together to help these families. Your immediate support, calls to action, and sentiment have been overwhelming.

I did not know Danny’s family well, but I’ve watched Amber and Eric build their business from ground up. They made a great team, and Eric was one of those guys you just wanted to be around. He was one of my favorite students way back when John Michael Cooper and I held a workshop together, and I knew great things were on the horizon for him.

I cannot imagine the heartbreak these families are enduring; I wish I had the words. I am so happy to see everyone helping these families, and I know we’ll be there for them in the future. We will not forget you Danny and Eric, and you’ll always be in our hearts.
