Tech Tuesday—Part I: Olympus Launches OM-D E-M1 Micro Four Thirds Camera and Two Lenses

Last night, Olympus introduced the 16 megapixel, Micro Four Thirds OM-D E-M1. As the successor to the E-M5 and the company’s new flagship model, the E-M1 marks the end of Olympus’ E-series DSLRs, first launched a decade ago in New York City’s Bryant Park.

A lot has changed since then, particularly with the introduction and growing popularity of interchangeable lens compact cameras and the development of new technologies, some of which you’ll find in the E-M1 including on-chip phase detection AF, Wi-Fi and remote shooting with mobile devices.
