Western Digital pulled back the curtain on a number of new storage devices at CES 2018, including new products from SanDisk (which WD owns).

Here’s what’s new:

WD My Passport Wireless SSD

The company has created a variant of its wireless portable drive that uses SSD memory instead of hard disks.

The drive is shock-resistant up to 1 meter and features an SD card reader, a USB 2.0 host port, a USB 3.0 port and a battery good for up to 10 hours of operation. The Wi-Fi enabled drive can stream 4K video and preview RAW still image files on the My Cloud app.

The Wireless SSD will be sold in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities for $230, $300, $500 and $800, respectively.


SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD

This splash and drop-proof portable SSD features transfer speeds of up to 550MB/s via its USB-C (3.1 Gen 2) connection.

The drive ships with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable and a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter.

A 250GB Extreme SSD will retail for $130 while a 500GB model will cost $200 and a 1TB version will set you back $400. SanDisk will also ship a 2TB model but pricing wasn’t announced.

SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1
According to WD, the Ultra Fit is the world’s smallest 256GB flash drive. It’s aimed at users who want to add more storage to laptops, tablets and other USB devices.

The Ultra Fit features a USB-A connection and will be sold in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities for $20, $30, $50, $80 and $150, respectively.

WD also showed off a prototype of a 1TB USB-C flash drive, though no other details were available.
