Yum: VSCO Recipes Let You Save Your Favorite Looks

November 9, 2017

By Greg Scoblete

Creating a given look for an image can be equal parts art and science. When you find a look you love, you understandably want to save it for future use. VSCO users had been informally creating recipes of their filters and editing steps to preserve their favored looks and now the company is formally rolling out a tool to create, save and apply these steps to other photos.

The Recipes feature will allow you to save your editing steps, including any filters you’ve applied alongside adjustments to contrast, sharpness, shadows, and more.

Image specific adjustments, like cropping or straightening, can’t be saved in a Recipe.

Once the Recipe has been created and saved, it can be applied to future images with a single click. It can also be shared with other VSCO users.

VSCO users can save a single Recipe. If you’re a VSCO X subscriber, you can create up to 10.
