Google Intros Nik Analog Efex Pro 2 Software that Adds Retro Effects to Images

Wedding and portrait photographers who like to add funky retro looks to their images should be pleased to hear that the Nik Collection by Google has just introduced Analog Efex Pro 2.

The revamped software “pay(s) homage to the classical, vintage, and alternative processing techniques that photographers used so many years ago,” according to Brian Matiash, Google’s Global Photos Products Evangelist, who announced the update today.

“This update brings forth many highly requested features by our users, as well as further refinements, resulting in a robust, creative and fun editing product,” Matiash said.

Analog Efex Pro 2 is available as a free upgrade for all existing Nik Collection users. The entire collection costs $149.

Nik Collection by Google: Introducing Analog Efex Pro v2!

Today we’re announcing Analog Efex Pro 2, available as a free upgrade for all existing Nik Collection users. (The entire collection is still only $149.) Analog Efex Pro pays homage to the classical, vintage, and alternative processing techniques that photographers used many years ago, allowing you to faithfully recreate them with your own images. presets that take advantage of the powerful filters of Analog Efex Pro 2, such as Black and White, Subtle Bokeh, and Simple Color.

New creative ways to present your images – We’ve also built three new  filters into the Camera Kit, that let you showcase your photos in truly
creative ways with Motion Blur, Multilens, and Double Exposure.
