Adorama is releasing a new light in its Canon-friendly Orlit family, the Rover RT TTL.

The pack and head system delivers 300W/s of light output and is compatible with Canon RT radio controlled flashes and transmitters. It can also be triggered using Adorama TR and RT radio-enabled flashes.

The Rover RT flashhead can be mounted on a camera bracket or light stand. It offers recycle times of 1.3 seconds at full power down to .3 seconds at lowest power, support for HSS (up to 1/8,000 sec.) and has a 20 fps continuous mode at lower power settings. Power is controllable over a nine stop range in 1/3 or 1/10 stop increments. You’ll enjoy a maximum wireless range of 980 feet and there’s a 10W LED modeling lamp.

Flash durations clock in at 1/800-1/8,000 sec. in normal mode.

The flash head has a Bowens mount for adding light modifiers. The battery is removable, though the total number of flashes at full power wasn’t disclosed. The entire system, strobe and battery pack, weighs in at just shy of 6 pounds.

The Orlit Rover is available now for $449.
