Rokinon Goes Up Market with First Canon EF Lens to Support Autofocusing

January 8, 2018

By Greg Scoblete

Rokinon has released a 14mm f/2.8 EF-mount wide-angle lens that is the company’s first model to support autofocusing (for Canon cameras). It’s also Rokinon’s first with weather sealing.

The lens features anti-reflective coatings, two aspherical elements, an extra low dispersion element and four high refractive index elements.

Its seven rounded aperture blades stop down to f/22. You can focus on objects as close as 7.8-inches from the front of the lens with a magnification ratio of .15x.

The 14mm f/2.8 is expected to ship in the first quarter of this year for $999.
