Nikon has trotted out a pair of new FX format (full frame) NIKKOR lenses on the eve of PhotoPlus Expo 2016–a redesigned AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lens and the PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED tilt-shift lens.

Nikon’s new 70-200mm offers up to four stops of Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization and features an electromagnetic diaphragm for consistent auto-exposure control during continuous shooting. It incorporates a Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for fast and quiet AF operation with manual focus override. There are customizable function buttons on the lens barrel and the lens is weather sealed with Flourine coating on the front and rear elements to make them easier to clean.

The lens has a new optical formula consisting of six ED elements, one Fluorite element, a high refractive element and Nano Crystal Coat. The combination makes the lens lighter while reducing chromatic aberration, distortion, ghosting and flare, Nikon says.

The 70-200mm ships next month for $2,800.

The PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED is Nikon’s widest tilt-shift lens with 97 degrees of coverage. You can tilt the lens to sharpen focus throughout a scene or create a miniature effect, or shift the lens to adjust perspective in-camera, create panoramas or eliminate converging lines. The 19mm is also Nikon’s first that lets you operate the tilt direction either parallel or perpendicular to shift without having to lock and unlock to make adjustments.

It boasts Nano Crystal Coat to combat ghosting and flare, an electromagnetic diaphragm and Fluorine coating. It will set you back $3,400 and ships next month.
