GoPro's Hero+ Won't Break the Bank

GoPro just pulled back the curtain on its newest action camera. The Hero+Wi-Fi is the company's cheapest action cam to date that still offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth access. (The cheapest, the $129 Hero, doesn't have wireless connectivity so it's impossible to actually see what you're recording.)

The $200 Hero+Wi-Fi delivers full HD recording at 1920 x 1080p60 as well as  1280x720p60 video. It snaps 8-megapixel still images and has a 5 fps burst mode.

You'll enjoy a few features available on higher-end Heroes, including HiLight Tag for marking moments during video capture that are automatically assembled into a clips reel by GoPro software. The camera also features Auto Low Light, SuperView wide-angle recording and a time lapse mode.

It does shed features found on more advanced models like the Hero4 Black edition, such as ProTune control over exposure and 4K video recording.

The Hero+Wi-Fi is built directly into a waterproof housing that can descend up to 131 feet underwater. It is compatible with the full range of GoPro mounting accessories.

Look for the new Hero+ at beginning of October.
