Canon’s new compact flagship, the PowerShot G1 X Mark III, will be the first in the line to feature a 24.3-megapixel APS-C-size CMOS sensor.

Beyond the larger sensor, the Mark III is the first G-series camera to feature Dual Pixel CMOS AF.

The Mark III features a 24-72mm, f/2.8-5.6 (35mm equivalent) lens with Optical Image Stabilization and a 2.36-million dot OLED viewfinder. The 3-inch vari-angle display supports touch focusing as well as a touch-and-drag autofocusing feature that lets you change focus points by dragging your finger across the display while looking through the EVF.

You’ll enjoy an ISO range of 100-25,600 and continuous shooting speeds of up to 7 fps with AF tracking or 9 fps with AF fixed at the first frame.

Additional features include:

  • dust and weather-resistant build
  • built-in Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth
  • panoramic mode
  • full HD/60p video recording
  • 5-axis movie image stabilization
  • time-lapse mode
