Be Bold with Capturing Couture’s Camera Backpacks [Tech Tuesday]

With a name like Capturing Couture, you'd probably think of a product line that's "little black dress" sleek and simple, but actually, this company is putting the pizazz back in camera bags! Among the best and the brightest—and my favorite—is the Moonshine Backpack, a colorful patchwork of eye-catching patterns that is both functional for toting your gear and fashionable.

Along with its good looks, the Moonshine Backpack can fit more than enough gear for a day's shoot: two DSLR bodies and a telephoto lens, along with a couple of smaller lenses, a flash and a laptop or tablet. In addition to the roomy interior, with a trio of pockets, there are a half dozen exterior pockets to hold everything from a water bottle, cell phone, batteries, business cards and more.

There's even a key clip on the inside so you always know where your keys are (I like to attach my Think Tank Photo Pixel Pocket Rockets to key clips for security and quick/easy access). Naturally, the bag is padded to protect your gear and the interior velcro dividers can be custom fit to match whatever gear you are carrying.

There's also a large zippered top opening for quick gear retrieval. Or when you need to set up your camera rig, the bag opens flat so you can eyeball everything you've packed. A top flap folds over and stays closed with magnetic buckle clips.

The Moonshine is versatile, too. It comes with two straps for carrying it as a backpack, as well as a single strap if you prefer a messenger style bag. The Moonshine measures 16 x 12 x 7 inches and costs $299. The company offers the same bag in several other designs with cool patterns but more basic colors, so check them out if the Moonshine is a little too bright and bold for your taste. The company carries some cool accessories too—definitely worth a trip to the site to do a little shopping.
