Leica APO-Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 ASPH

Adding to the growing list of L-Mount lenses, Leica’s new 50mm f/2 ASPH model is weather-sealed and features a special Aquadura coating to prevent water beading on exposed lens surfaces. This “nifty 50” lens promises responsive AF thanks to its robust stepping motors with Dual Syncro Drive™. Moving subjects are no challenge for this lens’s AF that can travel the entire focus range in about 250 milliseconds.

Canon EOS 90D/EOS M6 MARK II and RF Lenses

Canon’s new EOS 90D DSLR and M6 Mark II both feature 32-megapixel APS-C sensors and speedy performance of up to 10 fps and 14 fps (with AF/AE), respectively. Also check out a couple of the latest RF f/2.8 L IS USM lenses—the RF 15-35mm and the RF 24-70mm. A free firmware update is now available.

On1 Photo RAW 2020

Available this fall with a public beta mid-September, the latest version of On1 Photo RAW has been updated with AI-powered features, custom camera profiles with X-Rite, a print module and improvements to performance and noise reduction. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Coming soon are mobile apps for iOS and Android, Sync service and On1 Video 2020.

Epson SureColor P7570 and P9570

Epson’s latest wide-format inkjet printers, the SureColor P7570 (24 inches) and P9670 (44 inches) feature a new design, print engine and printhead as well as a 2x speed performance over their predecessors. In addition to new technologies and simplified operation and maintenance, Epson has developed a special 12-color pigment inkset that not only provides the widest color gamut on the market but eliminates the need to switch between black inks. Look for it towards the end of 2019.

Sony has announced two APS-C mirrorless cameras: the 24-megapixel Alpha 6600 ($1,400/body only, $1,800 with 18-135mm lens) and the entry-level 24-megapixel Alpha 6100 ($750/body only, $850 with 16-50mm lens, $1,100 with 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses). Also announced are two APS-C E-mount zoom lenses: 16-55mm f/2.8 G ($1,400) and 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS ($1,000). sony.com
