Sony Adds Full HD 3D Capability to Camcorder Line
April 1, 2011
Sony (www.sonystyle.com) recently introduced at the CES Las Vegas trade show a new line of Handycams that includes the HDR-TD10, the world’s first Double Full HD 3D consumer camcorder. Double Full HD 3D means each HDR-TD10 camcorder includes two of each key components: two Sony G Lenses, two Exmor R CMOS image sensors, and two BIONZ image processors. Once the HDR-TD10’s 1920 x 1080 video has been captured, it can be viewed with 3D active glasses on 3D-capable HDTVs, in Full HD 2D on non-3D displays, or with the camcorder’s built-in video projector or its 3.5-inch Xtra Fine LCD 3D touch screen. The HDR-TD10 has 64GB of flash memory and a 10x optical zoom with Optical SteadyShot image stabilization. It is expected to be available in April for about $1500.
