“Falling in love in art school and being exposed to the same influences gave us an incredibly unified voice and an extreme empathy towards couples who felt as powerfully as we did in our early days,” says Destany of her relationship with her husband, Mitch. So what consistently keeps bringing in new clients? “We feel that it is our humanistic approach, holistically seeing the day in its mysteries and triumphs, paying attention to the little things and crafting from the weird and unconventional.” Over the years, they have developed their own presets to emulate a mix of Kodak 160, Gold and Tri-X films, but with more contrast. “We are attracted to warmer tones, specifically in our heavy shadows, hopefully giving everything the weight and warmth of early fall.”
