A Singapore native, Samuel Goh enjoys going against the grain of traditional Asian wedding photography. Instead of ballrooms and flowy gowns, he explores abandoned schools, army camps, railway stations or airport hangers. “I like to infuse ideas and concepts into my photographs and toy with various compositions to produce something that people haven’t thought of,” he says. And getting clients to trust him with out-of-the-box ideas means he needs to focus on building genuine connections. “Most importantly and above all, I aim to be their friend and confidant, instead of just providing a service.”
