Daniel Alonso’s very first job was in a small town movie theater—”my life then was similar to the story of Cinema Paradiso,” he explains. “I watched every single movie released.” After college, he worked as a newspaper photojournalist and then as a TV cameraman for two years, then started a filmmaking company that lasted for five years. “Now [with his wife Gloria, whom he married in 2013], I shoot wedding with all this background and experience in my head.”
