Some of Heather Liddell’s favorite images are the ones that capture the unrestrained, perfectly messy moments of life. “To allow room for that to happen, I use a documentary approach, balanced by a love of portraiture,” she says. “Being included in a couple’s wedding day and getting to know their friends and family is what motivates me.” When Liddell, who shoots both film and digital, covers a wedding, she treats it like “I’m capturing my family and get amongst it.”
