The first time I looked through this Naples, Italy, wedding of Claudio and Teresa by Alessandro Avenali, I got goosebumps. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s so real, with just the right dose of cinematic mixed in, or maybe it’s the fact that it conjures up memories of my own big Italian family and how when we would all get together, it was quite a gathering. Whatever it is, I am incredibly drawn in by each and every frame, as was the bride, who told Avenali afterwards:

“Enchanting, spectacular, terrific. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Can’t stop looking at them.” Exactly!

As Avenali describes the experience, “I loved losing myself in the colors and energy of the party. I was shooting on pure adrenaline. The only challenge I faced was to try and steer clear of the overabundance of all that amazing food!”
