Take a Deep Dive into DPI

It’s January, which means it’s our Power of Print issue where we celebrate and explore all things print related.

Central to printmaking is the resolution of your output file, measured in dots per inch (DPI). DPI seems relatively straightforward: the more dots you can cram into a given space, the higher the resolution of your print. But as Thomas Kuoh explains in the video below, you don’t always need a high DPI to create a stunning print—even a very large print. The video does a nice job examining the nuances of DPI when it comes to print size.
