Damien Milan noticed that the house where this bride was getting ready was pretty cramped and dark, but upon entering, a little corridor caught his eye, “which I thought could be a great opportunity to play with light in a more minimalistic way for a portrait,” he says. After she got dressed, Milan asked to take her aside for a quick portrait.

“I closed the door at the end of the corridor and asked her to stand by the other door, as there was some beautiful light coming out of the bathroom window. The reflection in the frame on the wall was a bonus, and I personally love the honest and thoughtful expression on Alex’s face in anticipation of her wedding ceremony.”
