Horsing Around in Stilettos [Rf Photo of the Day]

Wedding photographers Cole and Jakob of Nordica Photography (Rf 30 Rising Stars from 2012), took this image in Iceland during an elopement. According to Cole and Jakob, the couple was from America and had never been to “the tiny, windy island” before their nuptials, but that didn’t stop the bride from making herself comfortable in her new surroundings.

After arriving to the first portrait location after the ceremony, “There was no hesitation from the bride to jump right in where the horses were hanging out,” the photographers recall. “She walked right up to them—stilettos and all. It was like a scene out of a movie. For a city slicker with no experiences with horses, her confidence was cool to see.”
