Love Stories TV, A Home for Wedding Films

Rachel Jo Silver didn’t have a wedding video when she was married in 2013. “I was unaware of the incredible cinematic shift happening in wedding filmmaking,” she says, but soon after, blown away by the wedding films her friends posted online, she realized that not only does the quality rival feature film trailers, but there also wasn’t a proper collective platform for wedding films.

Last October, Silver launched Love Stories TV (lovestoriestv.com), a site for all things wedding video that serves as inspiration for filmmakers and a resource for brides. Films are filtered by filmmaker name, venue, dress designer, wedding style, culture and location, among many others, and the homepage features a “Love Story of the Day” (that also gets boosted on social media and email) as well as films categorized by the best mom moments and first looks.

“Contributing films to Love Stories TV is the best way to get your work in front of potential clients,” asserts Silver, who accepts submissions of high-quality films via the site. She’s heard from many filmmakers who’ve booked more weddings because of exposure on the channel. “We’re humbled by the overwhelming outreach we’ve received from filmmakers. Some things we hear over and over are, ‘We’ve been waiting for someone to create a platform to highlight wedding films,’ and, ‘My video has gone viral because of Love Stories TV!’”
