What’s in Your Bag, Jeff Rojas?

November 2, 2015

By Jeff Rojas

I constantly change up what’s in my bag depending on the assignment. I’m also very cautious about overpacking. My mantra: “Keep it simple and efficient.” Here is everything that’s in my mobile studio kit; it’s what I would bring for a portrait session, and about the only thing missing is a light stand, which I usually will either handhold or strap on the back of my Burton F-Stop Backpack. The truth is, I hate carrying stuff, so the less I have to carry, the better (though I never leave home without my sunglasses).

My style of photography is relatively simple and therefore requires minimal gear. Even when I’m in the studio, I’m more than likely using one light. I have a Profoto B1 and use an Umbrella Deep White S with a diffusion material for headshots and an Umbrella Deep L with diffusion for full-length shots. If I desperately need a reflector, I head to the nearest craft store for a foam board.
