Now in its fourth generation, the Rotolight Anova Pro 2 offers marked improvements over its predecessor—as all next-gen products should. This circular LED light is designed for both still and video capture providing flash and continuous lighting.

But that’s just the basics. The light delivers about 70 percent more power output than its predecessor with a whopping 10,700 lux output at 3 feet. At the same time, power consumption is relatively low—given the output—at 72W, which is great when operating the light via V-mount battery. (The Anova Pro 2 comes with a regional power cable and extension cable for when you’re near a power outlet.)

Rotolight has also upped the ante with a 250 percent performance boost for its High Speed Sync flash mode and at 1/8000th second, you’ll stop action of even the fastest moving subject. And, the company claims there’s no recycle time. An Elinchrom Skyport HSS flash receiver is built in, with remote access to a variety of functions including color temperature, brightness, SFX control up to 656 feet.

The Pro 2 is available in three different models: Bi-Color Standard with a 50 degree beam angle; Bi-Color Ultrawide with a 110 degree beam angle; and Solo Fixed Color with a 50 degree angle. You’ll pay $1,680 for the Bi-Color models and $1,625 for the Fixed Color model. All models come with a six piece Gel Filter Kit, yoke, power supply and cables, DMX and V-lock plate.
