Light It Up with Smith-Victor’s New Bi-Color LED Ring Light

Smith-Victor recently announced a new 19-inch bi-color ring light that has some cool, and useful, features including the ability to go from 100 percent to 1 percent of its 6,000 lumens output with a simple turn of a dial on the rear control panel.

It’s actually not limited to bi-color, with stepless color adjustment from 3,000K to 5,500K (and a CRI of 95). Both adjustments are visible on the light’s digital LCD screen.

The light offers a 120-degree angle for wide and soft coverage and has a flexible tilt mount so you can angle the light where you need it to be. It also has a rubber grip,  if you prefer to handhold the light.

With its aluminum and ABS housing, you can expect a sturdy product. And with a 50,000 hour life expectancy, the ring light’s 512 LEDs will last a long time.

Bundled with the light you’ll get a padded carry/storage case, power cord and a couple of interesting extras. A small ball head mounts at the bottom of the ring so you can center a microphone, smartphone or a small mirrorless camera. A remote control is also included so you can adjust the color temperature and output without having to be near the light. It’s a wired remote, though, so you can’t stray too far.

The Smith-Victor 19-inch bi-color LED ring light weighs 8.1 pounds and measures 19 x 19 x 18-inches. And it’s pretty reasonable at around $200.
