Sony has made quite the splash with its full frame mirrorless cameras, but with the news of the a68 today, the company is reaffirming its commitment to traditional DSLRs as well.

The a68 features a 24-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor with a native ISO range of 100-25,600. It marks the debut of Sony’s new 4D FOCUS technology which delivers fast autofocus tracking via 79 AF points.

According to Sony, 4D FOCUS can lock onto subjects in low lighting, down to -2 EV. It leverages 79 AF points, including 15 cross type points and a dedicated f/2.8 AF sensor point for low-light environments.

As a result, the a68 enjoys continuous shooting up to 8 fps with tracking AF engaged.

Additional features of the a68 include:
*internal image stabilization
* full HD/30p video recording at up to 50Mbps
* OLED viewfinder
* 2.7-inch tilting LCD display (135 degrees up, 55 degrees down)
* 10 customizable buttons on the camera’s exterior
* 1/4000 sec. top shutter speed.

The camera will be available in March, 2016. U.S. prices haven’t been set.
