GoPro’s had some well-publicized problems with its new Karma drone (it falls out of the sky) but its handheld Karma Grip stabilizer, which was originally supposed to be bundled with the Karma drone, is getting a new lease on life as a standalone product.

The $300 Karma Grip is similar to DJI’s OSMO stabilizer. It’s a compact, lightweight stabilizer designed to mount GoPro’s HERO5 Black and the HERO4 Black and Silver and the HERO5 Session with an optional harness.

You’ll be able to power on and off the camera, start and stop recording and HiLight tag key moments directly from the stabilizer.

It features a tilt lock function to keep the camera pointed in a given direction. You’ll enjoy about 1 hour and 45 minutes worth of battery life on the unit and the battery is recharged internally via USB.

Also new from GoPro is Remo, an $80 voice-activated waterproof remote for HERO5 cameras. Remo can understand 10 languages and can operate up to 33 feet away. According to GoPro, the Remo can better comprehend spoken commands in windy or noisy environments than the voice-activated HERO5 alone.

You can use the remote to start/stop recording, snap photos, change capture modes and more–up to 13 different commands. It’s waterproof to a depth of 16 feet.
