Rokinon Gives Mirrorless Owners Fast New Glass

Rokinon lenses are often go-to models for photographers on a budget. Now the company is giving mirrorless camera owners a pair of fast new primes to play with.

The company announced a 21mm f/1.4 and a 50mm f/1.2 lens for Sony E, Micro Four Thirds, Fuji X and Canon M mount cameras.

The lenses will come in either black or silver and feature a removable hood, non-rotating filter mount, fully damped focus control and nine blade apertures. They are manual focusing lenses with an internal focusing mechanism and Rokinon’s Ultra Multi Coating. You’ll have your choice of silver of black designs.

The 21mm lens features a focusing distance of 12 inches and a 58mm filter mount. The 50mm f/1.2 lens also offers a 58mm filter mount and will weigh roughly 13.5 ounces. The 50mm lens will be ideal for portrait photographers as it will deliver close to an 80mm focal length when the crop factor is calculated for.

The 21mm lens will retail for $499 and is available for pre-order now. The 50mm lens will retail for $549 and is also available for pre-order.
