Phase One Introduces IQ Digital Camera Backs Series
March 4, 2011
Phase One (Copenhagen, Denmark, www.phaseone.com) recently introduced a new generation of medium format digital camera backs consisting of the IQ180, IQ160 and IQ140. The new backs feature maximum resolutions of 80-, 60.5- and 40-megapixels, respectively. The IQ180 is expected to hit the market first, featuring a dynamic range of 12.5 f-stops and both USB3 and FireWire 800 connectivity, which ensures the fastest tethered capture speeds possible. For untethered shooting, the IQ180’s new memory card interface eliminates buffering delays. Other new IQ180 features include Sensor+ technology and a newly-designed 3.2-in. retina type, multi-touch screen with 1.15-megapixel resolution—the highest resolution display on any SLR-type camera available today. The Phase One IQ180 is expected to be available at the end of April 2011, the Phase One IQ160 and IQ140 at the end of May 2011. Starting price: $21,990. For more info, contact: www.phaseone.com/demo.
