Epson Printer for Photographers and Fine Artists

Epson America (Long Beach, CA, www.epson.com) is marketing a 13-in., high-end inkjet printer that’s specifically designed for professional photographers and fine artists. Featuring Epson’s UltraChrome K3 inkset with Vivid Magenta Ink and the company’s AccuPhoto HD2 Image Technology, the new Stylus Photo R3000 printer delivers gallery-quality black-and-white output, as well as vivid color prints. The new Epson printer includes an Intelligent High-Capacity Ink System with nine individual 25.9 ml pressurized ink cartridges, an advanced media handling system that accepts media up to 1.3mm thick and 44-in. long, and an eight-channel MicroPiezo AMC Print Head, which produces a maximum resolution of 5670 x 1440 optimized dpi. It is expected to be available in March 2011. MSRP: $849.
